Budget 2024: one-off cost of living supports
Here is a list of the cost of living supports.
The government has introduced several one-off cost of living supports.
- €450 Electricity Credits (3 x €150) – 2023/24: a total of €450 in credits will be distributed over three installments.
- €300 Fuel Allowance Lump Sum – Winter 2023: a lump sum payment of €300 will be provided to eligible recipients of the Fuel Allowance.
- €200 Living Alone Allowance Lump Sum – Winter 2023: Individuals who qualify for the Living Alone Allowance will receive a lump sum of €200.
- Double Month Child Benefit – Winter 2023: Families receiving Child Benefit will get a double payment before Christmas.
- €400 Working Family Payment Lump Sum – Winter 2023: Families that qualify for the Working Family Payment will receive a lump sum of €400.
- €100 Qualified Child Increment Lump Sum – Winter 2023: Families eligible for the Qualified Child Increment will receive a lump sum payment of €100.
- Double Week for All Long-Term Weekly Welfare Schemes – January 2024: To kick off the new year, all long-term weekly welfare schemes will get a double payment week.
- €400 Lump Sum to Selected Welfare Categories – Winter 2023: A lump sum of €400 will be provided to specific welfare categories during the winter season.
- Double Payment of Foster Care Allowance – Winter 2023: Foster care providers will receive a double payment.
