Scandal after scandal has plagued their governments, from gross overspending on projects like the National Children’s Hospital to prioritizing bike sheds and modular homes over the fundamental needs. These missteps have left thousands without homes, families struggling to afford childcare, and patients languishing on waiting lists for vital healthcare services. This isn’t just poor governance—it’s negligence. And for all their talk of change, FF and FG remain committed to protecting the status quo. The only way to break this cycle is to vote for real change.
The Real Choice: Sinn Féin
Sinn Féin is the only party large enough to lead an alternative government and has presented robust plans for housing, healthcare, education, and childcare. Their housing strategy prioritizes building affordable homes and tackling the spiraling rental market head-on. Sinn Féin’s healthcare plan emphasizes investing in services, cutting waiting lists, and ensuring everyone has access to quality care. Not voting or voting for independents risks giving FF and FG yet another opportunity to form a government and maintain the status quo. But by uniting behind Sinn Féin and their progressive allies, we can finally bring about the change Ireland needs.
