Join the Mid West Hospital Campaign: Drive to Save Lives

Campaign Details:

  • Date and Objective: On Saturday, April 13th, we’re organizing a convoy of vehicles from Ennis, Nenagh, and St. John’s to Heuston Hall in Raheen, where the HSE Head Office is located. This event serves to spotlight the critical need for action to improve healthcare services in the Mid West region.
  • Community Support: We encourage all members of our communities to participate. Whether you arrive by car, bike, tractor, bus, van, motorbike, or any vehicle adorned in county colors or red, your presence makes a difference. For those unable to join with vehicles, showing support by lining the streets in Limerick with county colors is equally impactful.
  • Significance: The Drive to Save Lives coincides with the 15th anniversary of the closure of the Emergency Departments at Ennis, Nenagh, and St. John’s. This event underscores the ongoing challenges, including overcrowding and delays in care and treatment, that demand urgent attention.
  • Urgent Action Needed: With overcrowding reaching critical levels and families enduring tragic losses due to care delays, urgent action is imperative. We call on political leaders to prioritize reopening closed A&Es and addressing systemic issues in our healthcare system.
